Position:

Systems Technician

Description:

Responsible for the strategic assessment and design, operational support and ongoing maintenance of local or national networks for clients of ICS, Inc.

Organization:

The Systems Technician operates under the System Division Director and is under the general direction of the President and Vice-President and/or their designees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s license and a driving record, background check and references deemed acceptable by ICS
  • The physical ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Three years minimum of education in Technology or related field or the equivalent in related experience
  • General business knowledge

Essential Functions:

  • Timely arrival and departure from work assignments
  • Ability to implement ICS time tracking system (training provided)
  • Ability to successfully pass recommended exams and certifications, maintaining thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and processes.
  • Respectable appearance and approach to work at all times

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the analysis, specification gathering and quoting of hardware and network systems solutions.
  • Orders and delivers accurate systems solutions in accordance with client specifications and within the time frames established in the work orders.
  • Completes adequate testing prior to delivery to ensure that the product works in accordance with client specifications.
  • Completes development of any maintenance or enhancement technology in accordance with the specifications and time frames established in the work orders.
  • Performs required server reviews in accordance with the established requirements in the ICS Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Completes assigned projects of a general nature in the timely and accurate manner.
  • Participates in the identification of any technological training opportunities to enhance job performance. Attends the trainings and achieves required certifications as recommended.
  • Recommends technology and tool upgrades to ensure that the ICS staff stays ahead of the technology curve
